Instructional Design
Work History
I'm an instructional designer and creative strategist whose professional work focuses on building immersive, human-centered learning experiences. As a Senior Instructional Designer at the U.S. Department of State’s National Foreign Affairs Training Center (NFATC), I've designed and supported a range of simulation-based and digital learning projects, including negotiation games, crisis scenarios, strategy exercises, and other forms of experiential training.
I work closely with subject-matter experts across various training topic areas, and my colleagues (IDs, graphic artists, project coordinators, and technical writers) to translate complex institutional knowledge into engaging and reflective learning experiences. Across roles and projects, I'm interested in how narrative, practical application and decision-making, and interpersonal interactions can help people think more deeply, respond more skillfully, and learn in ways that actually last.
